COVID-19 has intensified things that have existed throughout humankind’s history: loss, loneliness, stress, happiness, and growth.
What if someone traveled across the country for a month talking with people of all stripes?
What stories and personalities will emerge along the way?
How have things changed for people and what do they think the future holds for them?
“115% to the Goal of 100 Producers by May 31!”
Scott Henderson will hit the road mid-June traveling westward from Indiana to Oregon and then return eastward. Eventually, he will arrive in Georgia and reunite with his son after not seeing him in person since the pandemic started.
His travels will introduce him to new people while reconnecting him with family and friends as he traces segments of the Transcontinental Railroad, Oregon Trail, Lewis & Clark’s journey, Natchez Trace, and other historic routes. It will remind us we are not the first ones to face adversity and we can create a story to share with future generations about how we fared in these trying moments.
Throughout his journey, Scott will post real-time updates about some of the people and their stories he comes across: photos, audio clips, short form prose, poetry, and video snippets. He will also host livestream Q&A sessions in which you the audience can help shape the adventure. Once the dust settles, it will culminate in a documentary series of at least six 10-minute videos.
By contributing $25 or more, you can become a producer of this real-time documentary and will receive in return your name listed in the production credits. As a producer, you will help us cover the initial costs of Project Tumbleweed and have the opportunity shape the production from start to finish.
Experience the joy of helping see this dream become reality through your contribution. As a thank you for your support, we’ll provide you with Producer-exclusive updates starting June 1 and access to Producer-exclusive livestream forums when Scott hits the road.
Legal disclaimer: Your contributions are non-dilutive grants to CauseShift LLC and do not entitle you to any share of future revenue generated.
